Jeannie's Baby Shower

I had the honor of making some desserts for my friend, Jeannie's baby shower! She's having a baby boy, so they decided to go with a circus red/aqua theme. Her place was decorated adorably complete with tiny plastic animals. I used Martha's one-bowl chocolate cupcakes recipe and Paula Deen's banana cake recipe.

Trip to Billy's

I have another gig coming up next week. It's a baby shower for a friend of mine! She was very specific in what she wanted for her shower, one of them being banana cupcakes. She told me that I have to try the banana cupcake at Billy's Bakery. Of course she was twisting my arm to make the trip... more like me, being the person who cannot turn down a cupcake, went in search for a Billy's to get my hands on one. So I get there, and I am automatically hit with thoughts of lust and envy. Lust for every single cupcake in their bakery case. Envy for an adorable bakery of my own.

Let's get this straight. I went to Billy's specifically for the banana cupcake. I walked out of there with 4 cupcakes, and they weren't all banana. I couldn't help but to also take home the banana nutella (sooo good! the nutella frosting was smooth and not too sweet), chai (found the chai to be overpowering, and I LIKE chai), and chocolate peanut butter (really liked the peanut butter frosting). I'm sorry I don't have any pictures... I didn't pause to take any!
